  • 239,000 Democratic voters turned out for the Iowa caucus. In Pocahontas County there were 460 Democratic participants. The Republican caucus drew 370.


  • Dates are already set for summer celebrations. The Democrats' float will appear in parades in Pocahontas, June 21, Ware, June 22, and Gilmore City, July 19. The Pocahontas County Fair will be held from July 17 through the 24th. There will again be a booth featuring information about Democratic candidates and issues.
